The best things to do in Dublin in March 2023: 

 

 

It’s officially here! March is the most awaited month of the year for Irish people, St Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and we can’t wait to celebrate together! If you are planning a trip to Dublin, that’s definitely the best time to do so, it’s a unique chance to experience Ireland’s biggest holiday. Here’s a guide on how to enjoy the city during St Patrick's celebrations and other amazing things happening during March 2023 in Dublin: 

 

 

George Ezra concert - March 8th 

 

On March 8th the British singer George Ezra will be performing at the 3Arena, in Dublin.  His Gold Rush Kid album has been in the top 10 em Ireland since its release in June 2022. Get ready to listen to some of his most famous hits being performed live, such as “Budapest” and “Green Green Grass”. Tickets are still available starting at Є55,70 and you can get them on the Ticket Master’s website.

 

 

Lizzo concert - March 13th 

 

Another amazing performance in Dublin in March 2023 is the American singer Lizzo, and there are still some tickets available for the show. Happening at the 3Arena on March 13th, she will perform some of her biggest hits, such as “About Damn Time” and “Juice”. 

 

 

 

St Patrick’s Parade - March 17th 

 

This is your big chance of experiencing Ireland’s biggest holiday. and there’s so much to do and see! Starting with the traditional St Patrick’s parade that kicks off on the 17th of March (St Patrick’s Day) at 12:00 pm from Parnell Square. Every year large crowds gathered together to watch the parade around Dublin’s City Center, and you can easily join them! 

 

Make sure to put on your best orange and green outfits and have a proper breakfast before leaving your accommodation - it will probably take some hours until you are back! Once you arrive at the area where celebrations are taking place, find somewhere you feel comfortable staying and just wait for the show to start. St Patrick’s Festival Quarter  - 16 to 19 March 2023

 

The National Museum of Ireland will be hosting the Festival Quarter during St Patrick’s holiday. From the 16th to the 19th of march many events will be taking place in the historical grounds of the museum, with day and night activities for all tastes. Visitors can learn the Irish language, try traditional Irish dishes, enjoy relaxation areas, watch live performances, and more. Other things happening during St Patrick’s Day in Dublin: 

 

Whelan’s Full Irish Night: 

 

From 1:00 PM to 2:30 AM on St Patrick’s Day, the beloved Dubliner pub Whelan’s will be hosting a Full Irish Night. Some of the best upcoming Irish Artists will be performing a variety of music for the first part of the night, followed by an indie club party in the upstairs area. Tickets will be available at the door on St Patrick’s Day, you can find more information on their website

 

Paddy’s Day Block Party at Juno: 

 

Another place to go if you want to extend your St Patrick’s Day celebration on the 17th of March is the Paddy’s Day Block Party at Juno starting at 4:00 pm. With a lineup of Irish DJs, this party will give you some Disco, House, and Hip-hop music to dance to for twelve hours straight. Tickets start at Є10 and can be purchased on their event page

 

Craic Den Comedy Club at Workmans Club: 

 

A Paddy’s day special comedy show will take place at the Worksmans Club on the 17th of March. Starting at 7:30 pm, the event will gather some of Ireland’s best comedians to tell stories about past St Patrick’s Day and things relating to the holiday. You will be guaranteed two and a half hours of laughs and it’s a good alternative for all the parties happening in Dublin if you are looking for something a bit more chill. Tickets are available for €13.31 on their event page
