August is a great month to visit Dublin since summer is still here and the chances of being blessed with good Irish weather are much higher. Because of the longer and sunnier days, there is a lot happening in the city, and the streets are filled with an amazing buzz. There are many events taking place in the Irish Capital and we are sure there’s something for the tastes and personalities. To help you find the best things happening in Dublin in August 2022, here’s a list of fun activities you can enjoy in the city this month:

Guests and in-house guests are welcome so if you are staying with us on August 12th, make sure to meet us on the terrace from 4pm! :)

Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience - all month

This is a unique opportunity to see the works of famous painter Vincent Van Gogh displayed in a unique way, where people and art almost immerse in one another. An old Dublin warehouse was used as a white canvas to showcase the artist's masterpieces with a 360º digital show, where visitors can literally step into Van Gogh’s most remarkable works and learn more about the inspiration and history behind the pieces.

The exhibition will be open throughout the month of August at Unit 9B, Artane Place, Artane, Dublin 5.

Candlelight Concert at Malahide Castle’s Garden - August 19th

August is also a great month to be in Dublin if you enjoy watching concerts outdoor, many artists come to Ireland to perform and the city has amazing venues to accommodate the events. One of our favorite spots to watch a live music performance is the gardens of Malahide Castle. On the 19th of August 2022, you can buy tickets to watch a candlelight concert by  Avoca String Quartet, playing the main hits of the duo Daft Punk. It’s a multi-sensory musical experience, illuminated only by the gentle glow of candlelights. It’s definitely something worth checking out.

You can get to Malahide Castle by taking a Northbound Dart train at Conelly Station, the ride takes no more than 30 minutes.

Tickets are available on the concert’s website and there are different options to choose from, based on location.

The lowest is €19,00 and the highest is €40,00
