Who doesn't love a good brunch? Luckily Dublin has some amazing spots where you can find delicious food for all tastes. Spread around the city centre and charming suburbs, the city’s cafes and restaurants have invested hard in serving good brunch options for tourists and locals looking to have an amazing gastronomic experience. Here’s a list of our favourite places to go if you are looking for a good brunch in Dublin:
1. Ground State
This cafe in The Liberties is located very close to our Garden Lane Hostel and is one of the best additions to the area in the last couple of years. They serve high-quality coffee and are pet friendly, which ate two very good things, but the start of the show is their brunch menu, with savoury and sweet options. Their French Toast with berries is one of the best things we have tried in Dublin, and their brioche brekkie is the perfect option to start your day the right way. They also offer vegan and vegetarian options, such as the aubergine sandwich served with their house green salsa.

2. The Cake Cafe
This is a hidden gem in Dublin’s Camden Street serving delicious brunch with big size portions. One of their trademarks is the use of pea guac instead of the traditional avocado, and we can assure you it is amazing!! All their toasties are worth trying, but if you want a suggestion the Peanut Rayú Poached Egg costs €13.00 and is a whole party on your mouth. The cafe has an additional menu for weekends, but it can be pretty busy on Saturday mornings.

3. PÓG
The PÓG Cafe has options for all types of brunch lovers and three different locations around Dublin. Their Protein Pancakes are very famous and worth the try, there's a huge number of toppings to make your own combination. They also offer granola bowls, smoothies, and fresh pastries.

4. One Society
Located very near our Gardner Street Hostel, this cute cafe has an amazing brunch menu being served every day from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Their classic dish is the Beans & Eggs on toast, with sourdough bread, but if you would like to try the traditional Irish Breakfast, they also have it on their menu. If you prefer some fluffy pancakes, fear not, they can also serve you some amazing ones with many different combinations to choose from, our favourite is the Crushed Kinder Bueno Pancakes.

5. Urbanity
This Nordic style inspired cafe serves excellent food and high-quality coffee - roasted right there in the shop. The brunch and all-day dining menu are seasonal, to make sure the ingredients are always fresh, and they also have delicious pastries and cakes being baked daily. The place is usually quiet during the week and they don’t take reservations, it’s walk-ins only.

6. Two Boys Brew
This Phibsborough’s gem has one of the best brunches in Dublin. With a diversified and seasonal-based menu, Two Boys Brew has always amazing dishes to choose from, with real Irish ingredients. Coffee is also carefully made with beans from all over the world roasted in Belfast, Northern Ireland, they have options that go from a traditional cappuccino to a boogie pour-over.

7. Toca Tapioca
If you have tried and love Brazilian food, or are very curious about it, the Toca Tapioca cafe is the place to go. This cute shop offers traditional Brazilian dishes made right there in the heart of Dublin's city centre. There you will have a chance to taste some amazing cheese bread, tapioca pancakes with different fillings, brigadeiro, and much more. Our favourite is the Acai & Tapioca combo, with one pancake of your choice and one acai bowl made with the toppings you want.
