To further reduce single-use plastic, we've partnered with suppliers that allow us to purchase cleaning and hygiene products in bulk, enabling us to refill existing bottles instead of disposing of small units weekly. This shift not only cuts down on waste but also aligns with our commitment to sustainability.

We proudly collaborate with eco-conscious suppliers like Musgrave, a company dedicated to conducting their business in an environmentally friendly manner. Musgrave is actively working towards a sustainable future by investing in eco-friendly refrigeration systems, optimizing route efficiencies to reduce their carbon footprint, using FSC-certified paper for printing and increasing their sourcing from small and local suppliers across Ireland.

Our linen is supplied by Celtic Linen, a company committed to a greener future. They utilize innovative systems like smart Water Reduction and Steam and Heat Recovery, demonstrating their dedication to recycling and green energy in every wash. Their best practices include enhancing environmental management through rigorous assessments, adopting industry-leading wash processes to minimize water, chemical and steam usage, and following best practice guidelines for energy efficiency in laundries.

We also encourage our guests to use public transport, but when a taxi is needed, we recommend Free Now. This company is leading the charge in green mobility with Ireland's largest fleet of electric and hybrid taxis, providing a sustainable travel option without compromising on speed or convenience.

Lastly, our energy supplier is focused on making a significant environmental impact, with a goal to provide 100% renewable energy solutions by 2040. They also offer Carbon Offsetting options, allowing customers to support various sustainable projects.

We are proud to partner with these forward-thinking companies as we strive to minimize our environmental impact and build a more sustainable future.

GO PAPERLESS

Going paperless to reduce our environmental impact has been a major goal for Main Office and Reception at each Canbe property. To help us achieve this goal we have invested in digital sign pads, which allows us to stop printing most of our documents including the registration cards guests are required to sign at check-in. The result? We are saving about 21,000 sheets of A4 paper per year! We also now encourage guests to email their receipt instead of printing it, as well as limit the number of printed pages per guest. When it comes to internal procedures, the same logic applies. Employee contracts, partner T&Cs, and other documents are all now signed online.

EMBRACING SUSTAINNABILITY

Our Reception team will recommend the most sustainable practices whenever possible. We encourage our guests where possible to use the digital version of maps and information brochures for tours and tourist attractions.
